Adája Stoetman is Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute’s Security Unit. She is part of the Security & Defence and the Strategic Foresight teams. In her research, Stoetman focuses on European defence cooperation, including EU & NATO. On behalf of Clingendael, she is part of the Dutch ‘Analyst network on national security’, for which she participates in horizonscanning, scenario exercises & risk analyses. In addition, she has an interest in the security developments in Latin America, in particular Venezuela & Colombia, and how this affects the security of the Netherlands. Stoetman holds a BA in International Relations & Organizations from the University of Groningen and graduated Cum Laude with a MSc in Public Administration: International & European Governance from Leiden University.
