From Sharm-el-Sheikh to Dubai: Time for Climate Action

02 Dec 2022
18:30 - 19:30  CET

In the next two years the MENA region will be the very center of climate action. Hosting the 27th and 28th editions of the UN Climate Conference, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates will lead negotiations on the reduction of GHG emissions, in one of the most affected regions by the effects of climate change. Which are the main opportunities and challenges? How can international cooperation help the region to mitigate and adapt to the adverse impact of climate change? How can climate action contribute to the broader economic and security priorities in the region?
