Muhammad Edhie Purnawan is a faculty member at Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He has been a Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Central Bank of Indonesia since 2020 and is recently appointed as a member of Board of Advisors of KADIN Indonesia. He is also the Chairman of Indonesian Economist Association (PP ISEI) for International Affairs. With more than 20 years of experience in the field of economics, Edhie’s expertise lies in monetary and financial economics. He has published on various aspects of monetary and financial economics, including on banking financial stability and central bank digital currency on the design of monetary policy. He has a Ph.D. in Monetary and Financial Economics from The University of Melbourne, Australia.
