Dalia Ghanem

Senior Analyst, Middle East and North Africa

Dalia Ghanem is a Senior Analyst in charge of the Middle East and North Africa portfolio at the EUISS. Her research interests focus on EU-MENA relations. Before joining the EUISS, Dr. Ghanem was a senior resident scholar at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut, where her research focused on Algeria’s political, economic, social and security developments. Her research also examined political violence, radicalisation, civil-military relationships, transborder dynamics and gender. Prior to joining Carnegie in 2013, she was a teaching associate at Williams College in Massachusetts and she also served as a research assistant at the Center for Political Analysis and Regulation at the University of Versailles. Dr. Ghanem holds a PhD from the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
