In an increasingly fragmented and polarized world, the Western Balkans can play a crucial role in re-powering international diplomacy. Indeed, Regional Partners can offer the opportunity to support mediation and cooperation, helping to promote shared security, and dialogue.
This international perspective is closely linked to the strategic role of the Western Balkans in Euro-Mediterranean connectivity. Projects such as the Trieste-Lubiana–Zagreb-Belgrade Corridor, Corridor VIII, and the IMEC (India-Middle East-Europe Corridor) enhance East-West and North-South connections, creating new opportunities both for growth and integration and the development of political ties.
The MED Dialogues provide a unique opportunity to combine these dimensions: to highlight the diplomatic potential of the Western Balkans and promote resilient and sustainable infrastructures, strengthening stability and integration across the entire Mediterranean region.
