Russia’s invasion of Ukraine sent shockwaves around the world, but it should not distract the international community from the other crises which risk being forgotten. Epidemics, civil and international wars, coups, and national protests: the world is facing crisis upon crisis. How can we ensure that enough attention and resources are devoted to these “forgotten crises”? Are international institutions still fit for purpose? What role is left for national and global civil society in the context of growing nationalist policies?
