Yacine Oualid holds a PhD in medicine, he launched several startups, one of which became the first cloud provider in Algeria. He is also an active member of the tech community and a founding member of many tech organization in Algeria and also in the Maghreb Region. When he was appointed minister of startups in Algeria, he became the youngest minister in Algeria, at the newly created ministry he is working on building a more suitable regulatory framework for the start-ups and fostering innovative financial instruments for the emergence of talents.
