Stefano Polli is Deputy Director of the ANSA news agency since 2014. Previously, he served as head of the diplomatic and foreign news desks and worked as a special correspondent covering major conflicts including the Gulf War, the Balkan wars, the Albanian civil war, and the Ethiopia-Eritrea war.
He has reported from key international summits (EU, UN, G7, G20, NATO) and conducted exclusive interviews, including with Fidel Castro. In 2000, he was among the first Western journalists to visit North Korea. He is also an analyst of international politics and diplomacy and teaches journalism at LUMSA University.
