Sarah Badr

Facilitator, United Nations Network on Migration

With over 10 years of experience in the energy sector and the youth movement, Sara Badr is a passionate geoscientist and youth activist who facilitates dialogues and collaborations on global challenges such as migration, climate change, and sustainable development. As a facilitator at the United Nations Network on Migration, she supports the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration and the engagement of the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) in the UN processes and platforms. She aims to amplify the voice and interests of young people from the Middle East and Africa region in the policy discussions and advocacy actions on migration and youth issues. 
 
Sarah Badr is also the official spokesperson of the World Youth Forum, an engaging platform designed for youth from around the globe to exchange their views and recommend their initiatives to global top policymakers, influential figures, and decision-makers. In addition, she leverages her technical skills and domain knowledge to apply AI to enhance the performance and efficiency of the energy exploration and production operations. She is motivated by the mission of using science and technology to address the world’s most pressing problems and empower the next generation of leaders and changemakers.
