Paolo Lombardo is the Director for International Development Cooperation at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP). Lombardo graduated in Economics from Bocconi and has held positions of increasing responsibility in various companies and institutions, including Eni, S.G. Warburg, Asian Development Bank and ABB Structured Finance. He then joined the European Investment Bank (EIB) in 2002 and, in recent years, has held the position of Head of Risks, Head of the Investment Portfolio in Emerging Countries and, more recently, Head of the EIB Hub in East Africa. In CDP he is responsible for defining and implementing international cooperation and development finance policies in Italy’s partner countries around the world.
