Dr Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf was appointed Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in February 2020, following his appointments as Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Kuwait Capital Markets Authority’s Board, and Minister of Education. Dr Nayef Falah began his career as an Assistant Professor at the Gulf University’s Accounting Department from in 2003 and was then promoted to Vice President of the University till 2010. Dr Nayef Falah obtained his PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hull in 2002, following his Master’s in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1997 and his bachelor’s from the University of Kuwait in 1994.
