Michael Schaeffer is Public Financial/Investment Management Advisor working for the World Bank. He is currently the WB’s Country Representative for Libya. Previously he has led the preparation of technical assistance and analytical work on public financial management, public investment management, and public-sector governance reforms, and, providing just-in-time advice on issues that arise. Mr Schaeffer has published articles with topics as diverse as “Access to Fiscal Information and Audit: Challenges and Strategies”; “Public Finance and Corruption” and “Unlocking the South African Secondary Credit Market”.
