Marwa Daoudy

Associate Professor, Georgetown University, USA; Author “The Origin of the Syrian Conflict, Climate Change and Human Security”

Prior to Georgetown University, Dr Daoudy was a lecturer at Oxford University (UK) in the department of Politics and International Relations, a fellow of Oxford’s Middle East Center at St Antony’s College and a visiting scholar at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Dr Daoudy’s research and teaching focus on Critical Security Studies, Environmental Politics, Negotiation theory, Peace negotiations, Water politics and Middle East politics. She published her research in Cambridge Review of International Affairs, International Affairs, International Negotiation, Journal of International Affairs, Journal of Peace and Security, The World Today, and Water Policy amongst others. Her second book on The Origins of the Syrian Conflict: Climate and Human Security was published with Cambridge University Press (CUP) in March 2020.
