Marta Serafini is a journalist of the foreign desk at Corriere della Sera. Currently, she is covering the war in Ukraine and the migrants crisis in MENA, but she also works is Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria and Iraq. She wrote “Maria Giulia who became Fatima”, an instant book born from a Skype conversation with Italy’s first jihadist. With other female journalists from Corriere and 27esima Ora, the blog dedicated to gender issues, she participated in a collective investigation on violence against women from which the book “Questo non è amore” was born. She is the winner, among other awards, of the Premiolino 2022 for her coverage of the war in Ukraine.
