Konstantinos Skrekas has been serving as the Minister of Energy and Environment for Greece since 2021. Previously, he acted as Minister of Development and Competitiveness (2014-2015) and Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, responsible for the Common Agriculture Policy (2019-2021). In the past he also worked in the sector of Fast Moving Consumer Goods: he was the co-founder and CEO of a company operating in the FMCG sector for 15 years. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and an MSc in Construction Management from the University of Birmingham, UK.
