Before she started as head of the Director-General office, Karin Borsboom was head of Director Support and Administrative Affairs at Customs. From 2006 to 2019, she held various positions at the Repatriation and Departure Service, including senior advisor and head of the Strategic Advice Department. Before that, she worked for the Immigration and Naturalisation Service for about 8 years, including as an interview and decision officer and senior policy officer. Karin Borsboom studied Public Administration at Erasmus University from 1991 to 1998.
