Dr Hisham A. Hellyer, a senior fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, is a scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Cambridge University. Elected as Fellow of Royal Society of Arts in London due to his expertise in politics, international relations, security studies, and faith, in the West and the Arab world, his previous policy positions were at Brookings and the Atlantic Council as well as the Institute of Strategic and International Studies in Malaysia. Regularly consulted for his analysis by government and media alike, he works between London and Washington DC.
