Giulio Tremonti has been a member of the Italian Parliament since 1994. Currently, he is a member of the Chamber of Deputies and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. He has formerly served as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Minister of the Economy and Finance, and Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies. Tremonti has been a member of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly since 2023, where he sits on the Democracy and Security Committee. He graduated in Law and has been a Court of Cassation lawyer and University Professor since 1974; he has lectured in the Faculties of Law at the Universities of Macerata, Parma and Pavia. Tremonti was a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Comparative Law of Oxford University and he is the President of Aspen Institute Italia.
