David Harland is the Executive Director of the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue since 2011. Previously, he worked for the United Nations, including in Bosnia, Kosovo, Haiti and Timor Leste and now he serves on the UN Secretary-General’s high-level advisory board on mediation. He is the former Chair of the World Economic Forum conflict prevention council, Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Affairs and Teaching Fellow at Harvard’s Department of Government, where he taught Chinese politics.
