Carlo Secchi is currently a Member of the Supervisory Committee of ISPI, where he was Vice-Chairman from July 2005 to April 2024 and Chairman for the second half of 2016. Secchi is a Professor Emeritus of European Economic Policy at Milan’s Bocconi University, where he was Rector from 2000 to 2004. At the same University, he is also Director of the Institute on Latin American Studies and Transition Economies (ISLA) of the Department of Institutional Analysis and Public Management.
He was a member of the European Parliament in the IV Legislature (1994-1999) and Vice-President of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee. He was also a member of the Italian Senate in the XXII Legislature (1994-96) and of the boards of technical-scientific foundations and institutions.
He has been the European Coordinator for the trans-European transport networks (TEN-T) since July 2009.
