Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty is an Egyptian diplomat and politician serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2024. He served as ambassador to Germany from 2015 to 2019, and as ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, the European Union and NATO until 2024. In addition, he has held various key positions, including Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Official Spokesperson for the Ministry, and Director of the Public Diplomacy Department between 2013 and 2015. Throughout his career, Abdelatty has contributed significantly to Egypt’s diplomatic efforts, representing the country in various international contexts, including in America, Japan, and Israel.
