Andrea Teti

Associate Professor, Università degli Studi di Salerno

Andrea Teti holds a BA and PhD degrees from the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. During his PhD, he held a Teaching Fellowship at St Andrews (2000-01) and was Visiting Lecturer at the Universities of Bristol (2003), Plymouth (2002, 2004) and Exeter (2004-05), before becoming Lecturer (Research Fellow) at the University of Plymouth (2005-06). He moved to the University of Aberdeen in 2007, where he became Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in 2014. Teti obtained the National Scientific Qualification in Political Science in the Second Rank in 2020 and in the First Rank (Full Professor) in 2023. Moreover, he has worked as a scientific advisor for both national and international governmental and human rights organizations, as well as speaking on international media. His research focuses on EU-Middle East relations and has published extensively on democratization, Egyptian politics, and ‘continental’ political theory.
