Full Professor and Director of the Center for Interreligious Studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He also teaches at the Theological Faculty of Southern Italy, San Luigi section, in Naples. He is a Consultor to the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue (Vatican) and President of the MAGIS Foundation. Since 1990, he keeps relations with India and other areas of the Indian subcontinent, where he lived for several years. His publications and academic research cover the field of interreligious dialogue and the relationship between religions and society (especially Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism). His latest recent publications are: La Croce e l’Islam. Sfide e riflessioni per l’incontro tra Cristiani e Musulmani (EMI, 2024), a monograph translated into Albanian; Il dialogo interreligioso. Il Contributo dell’Albania ai Balcani (Studium 2025) together with D. Mjeshtri ( with a translated into Albanian); A Call to Dialogue: Christians in Dialogue with Muslims together with V. Edwin SJ (Aracne 2022). He is currently Chief Editor of the Series: Interreligious and Intercultural Investigations Series (Studium Editrice, Rome) and Missio Dei (Aracne, Rome)
