Aldo Liga is a Research Fellow for the MENA Centre at ISPI. He is also a PhD Candidate at the Institut français de géopolitique (University of Paris 8). He holds a Bachelor’s in Political Sciences from the “Cesare Alfieri” (University of Florence) and a Master’s in International Security from Sciences Po Paris.

Aldo’s research interests include political and economic challenges in North Africa, energy transition, food security, and mixed migration flows through the Mediterranean. Before joining ISPI, he worked in various capacities for public institutions, international organisations, research centres and NGOs (among others, Italian Trade Agency, IMPACT Initiatives, European Commission, Engie).
